SCHRC is a local mental health clinic that provides a comprehensive range of mental health care services for adults and children. We became a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in 2021 and we employ over 140 staff in 15 programs in Waseca, Steele, and Dodge Counties.
Position: Patient Coordinator - Front Desk - Owatonna
Primary Responsibilities Provide Front Desk/Reception support in busy community mental health center.
Duties include:
Welcoming clients and visitors in person or on the telephone and answering or referring inquiries.
Serves clients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
Optimizes client satisfaction by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone in a timely and efficient manner.
Keeps client appointments on schedule by notifying provider of client’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
Maintains client record by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Collect, process and record client payments.
Helps clients in distress by responding to emergencies.
Processes incoming mail.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Education
Two-year technical college diploma or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Five or more years of administrative work experience.
Knowledge of and experience in a mental health environment a plus.
