We are seeking a motivated and like-minded Patient Scheduler/Operator with a passion for providing top-of-the-line customer service and who has clear goals of working as a full treatment team member with other medical professionals and advancing within our culture in the fast-paced and exciting mental health field!
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience with scheduling, phone operator, and working in a medical facility.
Must be friendly, outgoing, and people-oriented.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Telephone and computer skills are a must.
Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks at once, and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities.
Intermediate math and computer skills.
Must be able to interact with all levels of staffing professionally.
Strong customer skills required.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma required. College or college-equivalent education is preferred.

General Duties:
Schedules appointments with the appropriate provider and time/location slot, utilizing appropriate scheduling protocol.
Routes calls to the appropriate extension, ability to take messages and enter as a task.
Utilizes all electronic systems and internet access to obtain necessary patient information effectively and appropriately.
Collects and compiles accurate information for electronic records to perform clerical and scheduling duties accurately and efficiently.
Demonstrates ability to maintain accurate, legally sound, and complete records.
Interfaces with appropriate medical staff to ensure a cohesive working relationship in providing patient care services.
Enters notes/special instructions needed for scheduling in the electronic medical record.
Completes accurate documentation of informed consent with patients for visits as needed.
Confirms the patient’s insurance provider and either obtains prior authorization or communicates the need for prior authorization to appropriate parties as needed.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that organizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Assists other members of the department as needed.
