    This is a part time, PRN (as needed) position.

    General Summary of Duties: Coordination of patient care includes, but not limited to, patient scheduling and insurance verification. As a member of SouthernMED's Patient Services Call Center Team, the position's primary focus is to ensure a positive patient experience by demonstrating quality customer service skills when answering a high volume of phone calls on a daily basis.

    Major Responsibilities

    Answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments for 30+ providers located at eleven (11) pediatric offices in SC

    Verifying insurance on various websites and portals

    Communication to sites regarding patient care

    Filling in for front desk employees at various sites as needed

    Job Requirements

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Experience in a medical setting preferred

    Professional phone etiquette is a must

    Professional and courteous demeanor is a must

    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Bilingual skills are preferred, but not required

    Call Center experience is preferred, but not required
