UBMD Primary Care seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative (PSR) to work at busy outpatient clinic located at 2465 Sheridan Dr., Buffalo, NY 14150. Schedule will be Monday through Friday from 09:00 am-05:00 pm with the ability to work one (1) Tuesday evening shift(12:00-8:00) per month on rotation with the other PSR's.
Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting patients, check in/out, verifying insurances, scheduling appointments, daily copay reports/collecting copays, general customer service. Must have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. 1-2 years' experience in medical office preferred, EMR and Healthenet experience preferred, general office skills (faxing, copying, etc.) required.
Pay range is $17-$18/hour. Full-time 37.5 hours/week. Any offer of employment is contingent upon background check and drug screen. AA/EOE

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative (PSR) performs administrative duties for the office including scheduling patient appointments, greeting patients, handling heavy call volume, collecting copays as well as greeting vendors and other visitors in the reception area of the clinic.

Qualifications:
Education : High School diploma or GED, Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience : One (1) to two (2) years’ experience working in medical reception and/or customer service, preferable in a clinic setting. Experience in electronic medical records strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of various insurances and procedure codes helpful. Excellent communication skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs preferred.
