    Position Summary

    This role is responsible for compiling and maintaining payroll data as well as running payroll.


    **Key Tasks and Responsibilities **


    • Prepare and submit union fringe benefit reports with the proper fund office
    • Create union pay tables in payroll system
    • Assist with union audits
    • Process payroll records for new employees
    • Prepare and distribute payroll checks and necessary reports on appropriate dates as directed
    • Processes employment verification requests
    • Work with the unemployment administrator to provide information as requested
    • Maintain current tax information by state as needed
    • Performs other related duties as required

    Education/Experience


    • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area required
    • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Knowledge and basic understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
    • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
