    Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a Payroll Coordinator to join our team of exceptional employees. Under direction of the Director, Payroll Services the Payroll Coordinator assists in administration of all aspects of the Payroll department’s operations. This position coordinates College payroll related activities including, but not limited to, accurate and timely payroll processing, payroll taxes, garnishments, reconciliations, cycle balancing, check distribution, and withholding payments.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, in business administration, accounting or a related field.
    • Four (4) years full-time professional work experience in payroll or accounting. Appropriate combination of education and work experience may be substituted.
    • Experience in payroll in higher education, governmental accounting and/or payroll, or other fast-paced high volume.
    • Knowledge of the principles and practices of payroll accounting and applicable laws. Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, standards and procedures.
    • Demonstrated experience using a personal computer, office software such as MS Office and electronic mail.

    Salary: $52,367.17

  • Qualifications
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Primavera
    • Experience with BIM, GradeBeam, and Bluebeam is preferred
    • OSHA 30 hour certification preferred
    • Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written format
    • Ability to take direction, read and understand plans and specifications required
    • Strong analytic skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to follow through and meet deadlines
    • Knowledge of construction and scheduling techniques
