Banyan Search is looking for a Payroll Manager to take charge of payroll operations and HRIS administration for a growing, multi-entity organization. In this role, you’ll oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensure benefit accuracy, and maintain data integrity across systems—all while leading and supporting the payroll team.
What You’ll Do
- Manage weekly and biweekly payroll for ~1,000 employees
- Ensure accurate timekeeping, pay approvals, and benefit tracking
- Oversee payroll system data and outsourced tax filings
- Reconcile payroll between Kronos Workforce Ready and Sage 300 CRE
- Maintain compliance with benefit plans and support annual audits
- Ensure timely payments to vendors, contractors, and garnishment recipients
- Train and support managers on system use and workflow updates
- Continuously improve payroll processes and support internal audits
What You Bring
- 5+ years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Solid knowledge of payroll best practices, accounting basics, and compliance regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with Kronos Workforce Ready, Sage 300, or similar systems
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
