  • Responsibilities

    Banyan Search is looking for a Payroll Manager to take charge of payroll operations and HRIS administration for a growing, multi-entity organization. In this role, you’ll oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensure benefit accuracy, and maintain data integrity across systems—all while leading and supporting the payroll team.

    What You’ll Do

    • Manage weekly and biweekly payroll for ~1,000 employees
    • Ensure accurate timekeeping, pay approvals, and benefit tracking
    • Oversee payroll system data and outsourced tax filings
    • Reconcile payroll between Kronos Workforce Ready and Sage 300 CRE
    • Maintain compliance with benefit plans and support annual audits
    • Ensure timely payments to vendors, contractors, and garnishment recipients
    • Train and support managers on system use and workflow updates
    • Continuously improve payroll processes and support internal audits

    What You Bring

    • 5+ years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
    • Solid knowledge of payroll best practices, accounting basics, and compliance regulations
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Experience with Kronos Workforce Ready, Sage 300, or similar systems
    • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office
    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
