Qualifications
What you'll get to do:
- Accurately adjusts employee records for specific occurrences such as overpayments, settlements, severance, payouts associated with job changes, deduction updates, relocation, reimbursements, and as needed.
- Reviews and corrects check distribution daily to ensure the check is accurate before distribution.
- Ensures compliance with bank records including stop payments, ACH report, reissues and direct deposit changes and/or reversals.
- Audits auto pay list each pay period for accuracy.
- Enters and validates complicated Payroll items such as re-hire salary adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve all escalated payroll discrepancies and errors through careful review of employee records.
- Calculates, enters and manages garnishments.
- Inputs accurate sick pay, PTO, non- pay as necessary, for Team Members on leaves of absence
- Processes terminations in compliance with Local, State and Federal guidelines
- Performs department tax functions such as, tax review home/work state, locks, reconciliations, monthly and annual FUTA accrual as well as manual tax returns.
- Assist with all requests from the Legal Department and provide data in a timely manner.
- Reconcile various external and internal data interface remit files and/or reporting including but not limited to 401k, NQDC, Insurance, Health Savings Accounts, and vacation to ensure accurate deductions and pay.
- Investigates, corrects and resolves all escalated Team Member concerns.
- Completes special assignments and projects as needed.
Who you are:
- High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience required. Experience in a retail or multi-location business is a plus.
- Proficiency in payroll and timekeeping software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Kronos or similar systems).
- Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, and other data analysis tools) are a must.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on finding solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fast learner with an innovative mindset.
- Willingness & ability to work more than (8) hours per day when necessary.
- Adaptable and curious to learn about the company’s culture, policies, procedures, and values as best they can to better support employees when answering payroll related questions.

The salary range for this role is $70,000 per year - $82,000 per year.
