Peace Church (Middleville, MI) has begun a search for a PASTOR OF COMMUNITY LIFE (PCL) to develop and lead a strong culture of connectedness and community impact. The PCL will walk into a thriving and healthy congregation, led by Pastor Adam Barr, that worships about 800 people weekly. He will have the privilege of growing a ministry that currently involves over 200 people in 25 Growth Groups, as well as joining a pastoral team that together provides spiritual direction and encouragement for individual members of the congregation.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a seminary trained individual, with a passion for discipleship through small groups, who flourishes in a staff environment. He will also be gifted with excellent social skills, a strong work ethic, and a peace-giving presence. While 60% of his time will be given to Growth Groups, the PCL will discover opportunities to teach, provide supervision for a small staff, and represent the staff on a handful of ministry teams.

The PCL will have the opportunity to live in the Middleville-Caledonia area just south of Grand Rapids, MI. Both communities were recently ranked among the ten best suburbs of Grand Rapids. The Village of Middleville is a charming rural community situated about a twenty-minute drive south of Grand Rapids, known for its appeal to outdoor enthusiasts, agriculture, and blossoming downtown business district. Caledonia Township is an up and coming community that prides itself on preserving its rural heritage and small-town feel. It is home to everything from flowing rivers and green pastures to a bustling business district and beautiful residential developments.
