We're seeking Summer Sports Camp Counselors & Managers to manage the daily operations of our summer bike camps in the Denver area (Highlands Ranch, Stapleton, Hampden South, Cherry Creek and Broomfield). About Pedalheads Bike Pedalheads Bike is a learn-to-ride bike program for kids ages two through 12 best known for helping children get off training wheels and safely ride on the road. Positions Available Pedalheads managers are responsible for managing all activities at their respective camps. Daily duties include: -Program Management - Ensure that program delivery and safety standards are maintained, and that every participant has a positive and rewarding experience at Pedalheads. This will require lots of hands-on involvement teaching the kids. -Human Resources/Employee Relations - Schedule and manage camp supervisors, instructors, and volunteers, mentoring and motivating your team and recording and entering payroll hours. -Customer Service - Be willing to go the extra mile to engage customers and provide excellent customer service. -Administration - Assist with on-site registration and processing payments for product sales. -Operations - Manage equipment and supplies for your site. Qualifications We are looking for people with experience managing, coaching, or supervising youths ages 13 through 24, preferably in a camp or sport environment. Ideal candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic. They will be dynamic leaders who bring out the best in their teams through mentorship, motivation, and hands-on leadership. Commitment This is a contract position from end of May to beginning of August 2019 . Please note that site leader training on June 1 & 2, 2019 is mandatory. Hours are full time during the contract term. Compensation (salary + bonus) Salary: $650 per week, depending on the size of camp, with eligibility for an end-of-summer bonus. Qualifications -Be at least 16 years of age by Dec 31, 2019. -Experience looking after, teaching, or coaching young children an asset. -Be energetic, creative, motivated, and fun! -Hold or be willing to get a current first aid certificate (Standard First Aid with CPR-C preferred). -Reference/Background Checks (Criminal record check required if over 18). -Must have access to a bike and helmet and be able to ride a bike proficiently.
