    Sellwood Medical Clinic, an award-winning, privately owned medical clinic has grown to four locations in the Portland Metro area. We are headquartered in the Historic Home of Robert Sellwood (est. 1907) in the heart of the Sellwood neighborhood. SMC has been providing exceptional compassionate care for over twenty-one years. We promote work/life balance and seeking to add a full-time or part-time Medical Receptionist to our exceptional administrative team.     Clinic hours: Weekdays: 7:45am - 5:30pm

    Saturdays: 8:45am to 3pm. Schedule:

    8 hour shift

    Weekend availability

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES As a Front Desk Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our clients. You will greet customers as they arrive, book appointments, answer phone calls, and collect payment information. The ideal candidate has a cheerful disposition, excellent communication, and computer skills, and is capable of multitasking.

    · Opens and closes front office and reception area a.m. and p.m. /Unlock door, turn on/off lights, tidy reception area.

    · Responds to visitors, clients, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.

    · Approaches problems with a focus on Customer Service.

    · Scans medical records and patient pertinent information when received (at least by day end) into the EMR system and routes to correct staff.

    · Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.

    · Follows the intake guidelines of the clinic in regard to retrieving demographic data at patient visits and during phone calls.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    · Proficient on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Athena, and ShoreTel Phone system.

    · Strong interpersonal skills.

    · Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

    · Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

    · Commitment to excellence and high standards.

    · Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

    · Keystrokes a minimum of 45 wpm.

    · Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

    · Bilingual skills a plus.

    · Professional appearance and demeanor

    · Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures.

    PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    · Sit for prolonged periods.

    · Perform some repetitive motion activities.

    · Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

    · Be able to ambulate to stock/maintain a clean and orderly front reception area.

    · HIPAA standards to be followed.

    Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

    Education:

    High school or equivalent (Required)

    Experience:

    Customer service: 2 years (Required)

    Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

    Computer skills: 3 years (Required)
