    POSITION SUMMARY: The role of the pediatric nurse practitioner is to provide care to children from birth through young adult with an in-depth knowledge and experience in pediatric primary health care including well child care and prevention/management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions

    Develop a plan of care for each patient, including: complete medical history, physical examination, diagnosis of the causes of injuries and illnesses, appropriate treatment and/or referral

    Provide patient-centered, cultural competent care without discrimination in regards to age, race, color, national origin, ethnicity, sex, sexual preference, weight, handicap or income

    Immunize and vaccinate patients against communicable diseases as recommended and required by the standard of care as it from time to time is updated

    Confer with consulting physicians, patients and patients' relatives concerning treatment and care of patients, using appropriate care and confidentiality

    Participate in practice development, quality assurance, peer review, and staff meetings/activities as deemed necessary by the CEO and Medical Director.

    Cooperate and collaborate with other medical providers and support staff at the practice site to maintain effective communication and continuous improvement of the site’s clinical operation

    Maintain accurate and concise charting documentation of all patient encounters on a timely basis.

    Benefits

    Salary: $122,000-$150,000 commensurate with years of clinical experience

    Qualifications/License/Certification:

    Completion of an accredited master’s level Nurse Practitioner program

    Currently licensed as Nurse Practitioner in the State of Oregon

    PCPNP/PNP (Primary Care Pediatric NP or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner): Pediatric patients (birth to age 21)

    Board Certified

    Basic Life Support certification required and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification strongly encouraged

    Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required)
