    THE ROLE

    Heartwood Community School is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team on a contractual basis. In this role, you will work with K-2 students, helping them overcome communication challenges and develop critical language skills.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide speech and language evaluations for students in grades K-2, identifying individual needs and strengths.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support language acquisition and communication skills.
    • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to create a cohesive approach to student development.
    • Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet student needs.
    • Educate teachers and staff on strategies to support communication skills within the classroom setting.

    SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current state licensure.
    • Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in grades K-2.
    • Expertise in assessing and addressing a range of speech and language needs, including articulation, fluency, and receptive/expressive language skills.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    COMPENSATION

    The salary for this role is $75/hour, before taxes. To uphold our commitment to equitable and fair compensation, we offer a competitive wage and have a no-negotiation policy.

    Part-time contractors are not eligible for paid time off or benefits. They are responsible for paying taxes in accordance with federal and state laws.
