Pediatric Start-up Licensed Occupational Therapist
A new state of the art START UP single clinician facility in the heart of Beverly Hills is opening a multi-use facility and hiring for a CA licensed pediatric Occupational Therapist to onboard new pediatric clients. This is an excellent opportunity for new college graduates to gain, learn, grown and open their path to entrepreneurship in the occupational therapy field upon successful state exam and licensure. The facility will handle all marketing, client placement and insurance requirements.
Job Description:
Assessing patients: Evaluating a child' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine their therapy needs
Developing treatment plans: Creating a plan based on the patient's needs, including goals, interventions, and timelines
Providing therapy: Working with patients one-on-one to help them reach their goals
Educating caregiver: Teaching parents, caregivers, and teachers how to support the child's therapy goals
Monitoring progress: Recording a patient's progress and adjusting their treatment plan as needed
Completing documentation: Keeping records, writing reports, and making phone calls
Pediatric occupational therapists work in a fast-paced setting, often playing with children. They need to be able to plan and think quickly to keep up with their patients. They also need to be able to coordinate care with other disciplines in the office.
Possession of a current, valid Certificate of Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and one year of experience as an occupational therapist in pediatrics.
