Responsibilities:
· Provides peer recovery coordination services with individuals with Substance Use and Co-occurring disorders · Services include engagement, assessment of needs, social support, linking, monitoring, and coordination to facilitate strength-based recovery · Assists with monitoring, screening, and coordinating care for Medication Assisted Treatment services · Provides individual and group counseling and skill building programs as needed, community-based liaison, including training for service providers · Services may be provided prior to, during and after treatment and performed during and outside normal hours of business · Recovery coaching coordination may be provided in conjunction with treatment, or as separate and distinct services to individuals and families during their recovery
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required - Associates degree or higher preferred
· Certification in the CCAR Recovery Coaching Academy training, CADC and/or the ability to complete this within six months of date of hire · Experience as a recipient of substance abuse services and in Recovery for five or more years
· Preferred candidates will have two or more years’ experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and mental health issues
· Must have good communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instruction and good problem-solving skills · Must have reliable means of transportation for community outings and transporting consumers and must maintain safe driving record
