    How you will partner with our Participants.

    Provides non-clinical services to support clients establishing recovery from alcohol and/or drug use. The Peer Recovery Coach works in conjunction with the clinical team to provide peer support and inspiration to encourage clients throughout their recovery journey in a manner that is respectful, therapeutic, and free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation

    Key Job Tasks

    • Provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues
    • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients to make positive changes in their lives
    • Collaborate with clinical team to provide comprehensive care
    • Monitor client progress and adjust supports as necessary
    • Assist clients in developing coping skills and strategies for managing triggers
    • Provide crisis intervention techniques as needed
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress

    Qualifications

    • Certified Peer Recovery Specialist preferred.
    • Experience working in the field of behavioral health or addiction counseling
    • Knowledge of mental health counseling theories, techniques, and best practices
    • Familiarity with community resources and referral processes for additional support services
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
    • Experience with crisis management and intervention strategies
