    ** The Position**

    Grid United has numerous large scale transmissions projects underway and is currently identifying and studying additional prospective projects across North America. With patient capital backing led by experienced energy veterans, Grid United is in a fast-growth stage, boasting a purpose-built team of motivated and entrepreneurial talent. We are particularly focused on effective stakeholder engagement and positive involvement with the communities in the areas where we are working. Reporting to the Director of People, the People Business Partner will play a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing HR processes and policies that align with our company's goals. You will partner closely with leadership and employees to deliver solutions during the company's growth to drive performance, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. The location for this role is in Houston, Texas.

    Key Responsibilities & Outcomes:

    · Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts, partnering with hiring managers to identify talent needs, source candidates, and deliver exceptional candidate experience.

    · HR Infrastructure Development: Collaborate with the Director of People to design and implement scalable HR systems, processes, and policies.

    · Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, addressing concerns and providing guidance aligned with company values and policies.

    · Benefits & Compensation: Provide support for benefits-related questions and processes and assist in the development and communication of compensation strategies, including salary benchmarking and pay equity.

    · Generalist Support: Step into various HR functions as needed, such as onboarding, compliance, payroll coordination, and policy updates.

    · Data & Analytics: Leverage HR analytics to inform decision-making and provide actionable insights for leadership.

    · Culture Champion: Promote and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, diversity, equity, belonging and inclusion.

    Desired Experience and Skills:

    · Experience: 5+ years in HR roles, including business partnering experience in fast-growing or startup environments. Bachelors in Business, HR, or any other relevant field is required. Any professional certificates (SHRM, PHR, CPTD, CCP, GPHR, etc) are highly encouraged.

    · Analytical Mindset: Strong experience with HR data and metrics; able to interpret trends and make recommendations.

    · Tech Savvy: Proficient with HR systems and tools (e.g., Insperity, Microsoft Suite, or similar platforms).

    · Adaptability: Flexible and resourceful in managing deadline pressure, ambiguity, uncertainty, and project changes.

    · Collaborative: Skilled at building relationships in a small, nonhierarchical organization, with excellent communication skills.

    · Proactive: Open to embracing new challenges with a forward-thinking approach.

    · Positive Attitude: Energetic, professional, and team-oriented.

    · Strong Computer Skills: Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with solid data management capabilities.

    · Strategic Thinker: Capable of managing both high-level strategy and day-to-day operations.

    · HR Expertise: Multi state in-depth knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
