What you'll get to do:
** Thought Partner to Store and Retail Leadership:**
- Contribute to the creation of store-related initiatives that are aligned to our overall People & Culture strategy.
- Be a thought partner to stores leadership and team members and demonstrate success in assessing organizational health of store work environments, employee relations, coaching, performance management, career development, retention, and rewards programs.
- Determine ways to continue to leverage our strengths and identify opportunities either across the fleet, within a district, or at a store level while finding the right balance between speed and process/compliance. Recommend creative solutions.
- Protect and preserve Vuori’s culture and values.
- Develop change management plans and manage stakeholders before and after changes take place.
- Partner with the Director of People & Culture, Retail on developing and implementing engagement tools to increase morale in our retail locations.
- Be an enthusiastic partner to the stores team, collaborate, and have a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
- Identify ways to leverage data in a way that will be most impactful to our stores and influence business leaders with data-driven recommendations.
Employee Support for Stores:
- Manage routine to complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations and partners with ER team and leadership to recommend appropriate action to resolve the issues in a timely manner.
- Partner with the Recruiting Team to identify strengths and opportunities in our hiring process, assessment of talent, and ways to improve stores capabilities in identifying and hiring top talent.
- Research, analyze and respond to employee/manager questions and/or issues regarding People & Culture policies and processes.
- Support in identifying training needs for the business, partner in implementation and participate in evaluation and monitoring of success.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; partner with legal department as needed/required.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Contribute to creating and implementing standards for recording employee relations issues and investigations, maintaining and updating People and Culture related policies and procedures in our Employee Handbook and Stores communication channels.
- Partner with the Benefits to team to review accommodations and worker's compensation programs and policies for stores, in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws and under the general direction and guidance of the Director of People & Culture, Retail and the legal department.
- Collaborate with other areas of the People & Culture Team on the implementation and rollout of plans, programs and policies.
- Complete other projects as assigned by the People and Culture leadership.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR or Business, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of relevant HR generalist/business partner experience in dynamic, fast-paced organizations.
- Extensive experience in employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws (EEO, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, HIPPA, OSHA, etc.).
- Relevant Retail experience required.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Well organized, plans effectively and prioritizes time according to what is most impactful.
- Dependable and can be counted upon to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in an evolving, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong consulting skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills including high-quality document preparation and presentation skills.
- Strong interviewing/fact finding and decision-making skills.
- Strong conflict management skills with demonstrated understanding of interpersonal relationship building.
- Proven success at developing strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
- Be able to work independently and exercise excellent judgment, as well as be an active member of both the store leadership and our People and Culture team.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Demonstrated competence in other human resource disciplines including compensation, change management, talent management, organizational diagnosis and planning, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 per year - $125,000 per year.
