Job Description

THE ROUTE MANAGER IN TRAINING IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSISTING IN THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF OUR SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT WHILE ALSO DEVELOPING THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY TO TAKE ON A MANAGEMENT LEVEL ROLE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT. THE IDEAL APPLICANT HAS EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS, ABILITY TO MULTITASK, AND PREVIOUS MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Help ensure that all inbound and outbound product is delivered correctly and efficiently
• Assist in managing the daily schedules and activities for all drivers
• Help manage the routing for all Freight, Sweetener, Snack, and Dedicated routes
• Aid in the tracking of all attendance, training, and performance for all drivers
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
• Communicate with drivers on route and ensure that any delays or problems are resolved as quickly as possible
• Ensure that all reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner
• Any other duty or task assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• 2+ Years of Management Experience
• Bachelors Degree (4+ years of management experience may be considered in place of a degree)
• Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• General computer skills/knowledge
