American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S. providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation.

AFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.

Job Summary

To provide high-quality care to all patients. To assist in directing staff in the support of the care of our patients. Willing to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care.

Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and patient interviews.

Analyze patient symptoms, determine diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.

Diagnose acute and chronic conditions.

Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropriate (within state regulations).

Provide preventive care and counseling to patients on lifestyle and health improvement.

Qualifications

Board Certified/Board Eligible – Emergency Room, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine (w/ER or UC experience)

Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family

Professional appearance and attitude

Active and current medical licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required

Ability to multi-task and work independently

Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed
