    Renewable Energy - Development Manager

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Renewable Energy Development Manager to spearhead the growth of our solar and energy storage portfolio in the Eastern United States. This role is pivotal in identifying, developing, and executing renewable energy projects, leveraging the resources of a major industry player. You will collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Renewable Business Development – West to drive significant renewable energy investment opportunities across multiple regions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from inception to completion, including due diligence, site acquisition, permitting, financing, and construction support.
    • Conduct comprehensive financial modeling to assess project viability, profitability, and investment returns.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, community leaders, government officials, and industry partners.
    • Stay abreast of renewable energy market trends, policies, and technologies to identify new opportunities and optimize project development.
    • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (legal, finance, engineering, etc.) and external partners to achieve project goals.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a preferred.
    • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in renewable energy development.
    • Proven track record in originating and executing utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
    • Deep understanding of project finance, financial modeling, and due diligence processes.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Familiarity with specific Eastern US markets.
    • Upto 50% travel required for site visits and meetings.
