    S&T Product Development Scientist, Expert

    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate coating specialist to join a dynamic team at located in Milford/Cincinnati reporting directly to the Senior Technical Manager.

    The primary objective of the S&T Product Development Scientist, Expert is to drive innovation and product development in the field of coating formulations for beverage applications.

    This role requires a unique blend of scientific acumen, mechanical aptitude, and a deep commitment to innovation.

    You will work in collaboration with our product development chemists, application, and technical service teams to develop top-notch coatings for beverage applications.

    Short-Term Goals (1-2 years):

    1\. Product Development: Collaborate with product development chemists to create and optimize coating formulations for beverage applications.

    2\. Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to customers and internal teams, resolving coating issues as they arise.

    3\. Data Analysis: Analyze experimental data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.

    4\. Customer Engagement: Travel to customer locations to understand their business and application processes and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

    Long-Term Goals (3-5 years):

    5\. Innovation Leadership: Lead the development of new products, adhering to specific timelines and achieving key milestones.

    6\. Process Improvement: Understand and improve the product manufacturing process to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

    7\. Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with various functions within the organization. Collaborate with product development chemists to create and optimize coating formulations for beverage applications.

    Qualifications

    8\. A Master’s degree or a PhD in chemistry or engineering.

    9\. A minimum of 8 years of professional experience specifically in coatings formulation

    10\. Demonstrated mechanical skills and the ability to operate laboratory equipment

    11\. A proven track record in the development of new products, with the ability to adhere to specific timelines

    12\. Willingness to travel 10% of the time to learn application expertise from our equipment suppliers, customers, and trade shows

    13\. This role can sit full-time in Milford Ohio (Cincinnati) or we can offer a 4-day on-site work week to a candidate who chooses not to relocate.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    14\. Extensive knowledge and experience in spray application processes, particularly air-less spray techniques
