Job Summary Our friendly periodontal office seeks a caring and hard-working Sterilization Tech to help with our ever-increasing workload.

Primary duties for our tech will include sterilizing dental instruments, organizing exam and surgical instrument kits, and cleaning operatories between patients. Our ideal candidate has some experience with dental offices and sterilization procedures. Chairside experience is not required, but it is a plus. No surgical chairside work is required for this position, but there will be the opportunity to learn on the job if the applicant is motivated.

We are a digital office, running a Dentrix system, so experience with Dentrix is also a plus.

Hours for this position are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Responsibilities

Process dental instruments and patient care items through the sterilization process safely and efficiently

Maintain sterilization equipment, following manufacturer maintenance guidelines and intervals

Turn over operatories, transporting dirty instruments to the sterilization area for processing

Set up treatment rooms for the next patient procedure

Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

Chairside assisting for basic exams and post-ops (preferred but not required)

Qualifications

Current CPR/AED

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Experience with Dentrix or general computer literacy is preferred but not required

Covid vaccination
