The City of Pueblo is now seeking a qualified individual to be a Permit Compliance Specialist in the Stormwater Department! As the Stormwater Utility Permit Compliance Specialist, you’ll inspect construction sites to assure compliance with the City of Pueblo’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit. You’ll also inspect the construction of storm sewers, drainage facilities, structures, and other Stormwater related items for compliance to City of Pueblo’s construction standards and approved plans. The workload is typically split into 70% field work and 30% office work which creates an engaging working environment.

Qualifications
A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
Possession of, or ability to obtain within the first 18 months of employment, the following certifications:
Must meet one of the following combinations of directly related education and experience:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in in civil engineering technology, civil engineering, biological science, or closely related field and two (2) years of experience in the inspection of the construction, alteration, and repair of public works projects such as storm drains, pavements, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, grading, erosion control, or other current water quality developments
An associate degree (or equivalent credit hours) from an accredited college or university in civil engineering technology, civil engineering, biological science, or closely related field and four (4) years successful experience as described above
High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of experience as described above
