Job Summary
We are seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our team! As a Permit Coordinator, you will be working closely with site managers and other team members to determine the scope of existing and upcoming projects, contact the city or county the project is in to learn about their permitting requirements, and ensure all paperwork is filled out and filed properly so permits are obtained in a timely manner.
This role also includes performing a variety of administrative l tasks to support the smooth operation of the company.
The ideal candidate is familiar with permitting procedures in Sign manufacturing and installation industry, works well both independently and within a team environment, and has exceptional organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Permitting Management:
Accurately and efficiently fill out all permitting paperwork required
Coordinate the submission of permit applications for sign installations to relevant municipal authorities, local or state governments
Track the progress of permit applications and follow up with municipal departments as needed.
Maintain detailed records of all permit applications, approvals, and related correspondence.
Ensure that all permits are obtained in a timely manner to meet project deadlines.
Communicate permit requirements and updates to clients and internal teams.
Administrative Support:
Assist with general administrative tasks, including responding to emails, managing project related correspondence. etc.
Prepare and process documentation related to permits, projects, bids documentation, and client contracts.
Maintain organized filing systems, both electronic and physical, for easy retrieval of information.
Assist in scheduling meetings, appointments, and site visits as required.
Address any inquiries or issues related to the permitting process in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications
Previous experience in permitting in signage or construction industries is preferred.
Strong organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Knowledge of local municipal regulations and permitting processes is a plus.
