  • Responsibilities

    Private household seeks a highly organized and forward-thinking Personal Assistant to assist with the continuous coordination and management of the Principal’s endeavors and household operations out of their residence in Monroe, NY. The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement, is highly detail-oriented and willing to learn and adapt as needed. A polished, positive, and reliable demeanor is essential. The candidate should be resourceful, proactive, and capable of managing shifting schedules and responsibilities, including last-minute changes. Exceptional communication skills are required to ensure seamless organization of the Principal’s life and overall household operations.

    The Personal Assistant will serve as the primary gatekeeper and trusted liaison, managing communications and facilitating interactions with professional and personal contacts. While the role primarily focuses on personal assistance, there will be some corporate-related tasks as well, requiring the candidate to wear many hats and adapt to a variety of settings and demands. The schedule consists of a five-day flex workweek, with required flexibility/longer days upon request.

     

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Serving as all-round gatekeeper to Principal

    • Proactively managing the schedule of the Mrs.; Assisting with calendar planning, scheduling, travel coordination, and meeting logistics

    • Handling all communication including drafting emails, answering phones, overseeing mail, etc.

    • Working in tandem with the overall team and other household staff to ensure the Principals’ needs are met

    • Assisting with coordinating communication between other offices, the residence and other administrators, etc.

    • General management and organization of residence, with attention to special projects, private functions and events as needed and per request

    • Personal shopping, running errands, stock and grocery level management, concierge work

    • Additional general Personal Assistant duties upon request with a constant need for overriding flexibility and desire to exceed all expectations

     

    Requirements:

    • Strong command of English language; Excellent written and verbal communication required

    • 4+ years related experience working in a similar role for a family preferred

    • Previous experience in law enforcement REQUIRED

    • Excellent references required from both current and previous employers

    • Polished, poised and professional in both mindset and manor

    • Ability to exercise quick and accurate judgment while working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where the utmost discretion and confidentiality are required 

    • Strong time management skills and attention to detail; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, exercising task prioritization

    • Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; eagerness to execute tasks efficiently and exceed expectations

    • Effective and proactive problem-solver; able to analyze situations thoroughly in order to anticipate problems before they arise

    • Computer savvy with proficiency in both Mac and PC systems; strong iPhone skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office

    • Flexibility in scheduling; willingness to work long hours, overtime, and additional days

    • Valid Driver’s License

    • Legally able to work within the United States

    $120,000-$150,000 per year
