Responsibilities: • Serve as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at hearings, mediations, trials, depositions, and litigation • Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly • Govern personal injury case files from inception to completion • Interview clients, supporting witnesses, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to collect information • Review, modify, and draft motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, claims, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents • Attending court hearings. • Conducting and defending depositions. • Conducting discovery. • Daily contact with clients regarding various aspects of their case, particularly regarding their injuries and medical treatment. • Maintaining and updating case information in law firm case management software. • Troubleshooting solutions to client concerns and/or issues “on the fly”. • Daily communication with relevant insurance companies and defense firms. Qualifications: • Requires a bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree • A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is desired • Must be computer proficient • Three years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is a necessity • State Bar Association membership and state license to practice law is mandatory Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 yearly Hybrid salary + commission
