Responsibilities: • Govern personal injury case files from inception to completion • Investigate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly • Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate • Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation • Converse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to gather information • Finding ethical solutions to legal matters • Covering PIP recorded statements and PIP Examinations Under Oath • Otherwise handling case management from inception to completion • Staying informed about any current legislation and case law • Building trustworthy relationships with clients • Drafting pleadings, written discovery, and motions • Arguing motions and covering depositions • Marketing firm services in the community and as otherwise required Qualifications: • Knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vital • Proficiency in computers is vital • Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required • Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills are preferred • Membership in the State Bar Association and a state license to practice law is mandatory • Florida licensed attorney in good standing with Florida Bar, with no disciplinary or malpractice history • Outstanding academic credentials • Self-starter, driven by long-term career goals • Superior oral and written advocacy skills • Team oriented Compensation: $70,000 - $135,000 salary + bonuses
