Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Consultation: Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the firm's partners and associates on complex personal injury cases. Offer insights on legal strategy, case evaluation, and potential outcomes.
- Case Review: Review personal injury cases referred by the firm for legal accuracy, compliance, and potential areas of improvement. Ensure that cases are being handled in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research on relevant personal injury laws, regulations, and precedents. Prepare legal memoranda, briefs, and opinions to support the firm's cases.
- Client Consultation: Meet with clients as necessary to discuss legal matters, explain complex legal concepts, and provide expert advice. Help clients understand their rights and options.
- Courtroom Representation: Depending on the arrangement and experience level, of counsel attorneys may represent clients in court, especially in cases requiring specialized expertise.
- Ethical and Professional Standards: Ensure that all legal services provided adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the state bar association and other relevant regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- License to practice law in Connecticut.
- 3 - 5 years of personal injury plaintiff or defense litigation experience, preferred.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and professional responsibility.
