Responsibilities: • Appear as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigation • Oversee personal injury case files from beginning to end • Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary • Converse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to gather information • Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system • Finding ethical solutions to legal matters • Covering PIP recorded statements and PIP Examinations Under Oath • Otherwise handling case management from inception to completion • Staying informed about any current legislation and case law • Building trustworthy relationships with clients • Drafting pleadings, written discovery, and motions • Arguing motions and covering depositions • Marketing firm services in the community and as otherwise required Qualifications: • Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are desired • Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required • State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory • Up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, wrongful death, civil and family law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperative • Must be computer proficient • Florida licensed attorney in good standing with Florida Bar, with no disciplinary or malpractice history • Outstanding academic credentials • Self-starter, driven by long-term career goals • Superior oral and written advocacy skills • Team oriented Compensation: $70,000 - $135,000 salary + bonuses
