    Feerick Nugent MacCartney PLLC is searching for a Personal Injury Paralegal for our office in South Nyack, New York.

    Prior Personal Injury Paralegal experience is required

    This position is for those who work well with others and enjoy direct client contact and responsibility. Applicants must be experienced, professional, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. The Paralegal will work directly with the law firm partner who primarily handles the firm’s personal injury and medical malpractice matters, and will regularly interact with clients. The Paralegal will oversee and manage personal injury claims from inception to conclusion. The paralegal will also be part of a team that handles a wide variety of other matters, not just personal injury cases. The firm has an “all-hands-on-deck” team-oriented approach, and so each office paralegal or other support staff member is required to work extremely well with others. The team regularly works together on client matters and also work together in regard to a variety of other office administration matters.

    Required: 5+ years of experience in personal injury as a Paralegal.

    Draft pleadings, discovery demands/responses, motions, subpoenas, settlement documents, etc.

    Prepare cases from inception to trial

    Enjoy extensive direct contact with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and courts

    Process authorizations and compile medical records

    Must be able to analyze and timeline medical records

    Manage and update case activity to assist attorneys with case monitoring and client reporting

    Prepare and manage attorney calendar

    Assist with prepping files for mediation, arbitration, and trial

    Locating and communicating with witnesses

    Assist with lien identification and resolution

    Accurately record and maintain hours

    Knowledge of NYSCEF rules and e-filing procedures is a must

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $55,000-$65,000, dependent on candidate experience
