Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Personal Trainer to join our successful gym. As a Personal Trainer, you will have a friendly and outgoing personality, and genuine care to help others succeed at their fitness goals. You will perform fitness assessments, develop training plans, and provide member education on how to use gym equipment safely. Your primary goal is to help clients reach their fitness objectives, improve their health and quality of life through fitness, and work with others using your knowledge and skills to conduct safe and effective exercise sessions for a variety of members.
Responsibilities
Perform fitness assessments to understand each client’s current fitness level and college degree from an accredited institution.
Member on-boarding and re-assessments, follow up check -in meetings with members to track progress.
Must have a minimum of 2 years Sales experience - Personal Trainers use information gathered during the member onboarding process to suggest training options such as selling personal training packages, individual sessions, group fitness sessions, nutrition plans, and supplement options for each member or prospect. Personal trainers qualify, inform, inspire, and convert leads to long term training clients.
Create individualized workout plans and training routines and revise them periodically.
Demonstrate proper techniques for using machines and equipment.
Ensure that all gym safety standards and procedures are followed. Personal trainers will be required to perform duties like general upkeep which includes equipment and training floor cleanliness, training area set up and tear down, talking with members, and client tracking and administrative work.
Candidate will be required to wear a company provided Personal Trainer shirt at all times while working at House of Pain Gym.
Must be friendly, outgoing, genuine, demonstrate excellent communication skills, excellent organizational skills, maintain a schedule, not cancel on clients.
Candidate must be good at managing time and schedules, able to instruct training sessions (one on one and group training)
Comfortable using technical platforms (ABC Ignite Software).
Familiar using tools such as body scanners to assess clients body composition.
Must be self motivated and self driven to succeed.
Candidate will be an independent contractor and complete 1099 paperwork.
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Personal Trainer and provide professional references.
Must have a minimum of 2 years Sales experience and feel comfortable with the Sales process.
Must have a current personal trainer certification from an accredited institution.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college is recommended.
Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred.
First aid and CPR certified and ongoing recertification will be required to maintain certifications.
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent ability to work on a Team of Personal Trainers and to work with House of Pain Front Desk Associates.
