    Job Summary

    We are searching for an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team at our new grooming business. As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and ensure that each pet looks and feels their best while maintaining high safety and quality standards.     Responsibilities

    Provide consultations with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and needs

    Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

    Brush and detangle or remove matted fur

    Bathe dogs and dry coat

    Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests

    Perform grooming services such as haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing

    Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures

    Ensure all grooming tools are sanitized and well-maintained

    Handle pets safely and kindly, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process

    Recognize signs of stress or health issues in animals and take appropriate actions

    Maintain grooming records and provide follow-up recommendations to pet owners

    Work with the store and grooming team to schedule appointments and manage workflow

    Ensure the grooming salon meets cleanliness and safety standards at all times

    Qualifications

    Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role

    Comfortable working with anxious animals

    Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds

    Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education

    Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners

    Strong attention to detail
