Contract to HIRE

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position involves direct patient interaction, medication management, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. The Pharmacist will also be responsible for the chronic workflow needs required by patients volume/demand.

Duties

• Provide exceptional patient service by counseling patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.

• Perform utilization management by reviewing medication regimens for efficacy and safety Administer medications as per established protocols, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in critical care settings, including ICU, to manage complex medication therapies.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of physiology and pharmacology to support clinical decision-making.
• Participate in medical management initiatives to improve overall patient health outcomes.
• Stay current with industry trends, new medications, and best practices in pharmacy care.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
• Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Strong understanding of general pharmacy practice.
• Experience with IV medication and or Home infusion.
• Proficient in medication administration and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Prior experience in utilization review or management is a plus.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
