Location : Irving, TX (75063) 100% onsite

Pay : $18.50/hr

Schedule : Monday - Friday | 9am – 6pm (must be okay working extended hours during peak season)

Job Description:

• Responsible for assisting Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and the provision of pharmaceutical care
• Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system where permitted by pharmacy regulation, and only at the direction of the supervising pharmacist after their review of the prescription
• Process prescription refills to include: refill confirmation when appropriate, review pending refills with the supervising pharmacist, generate refill documentation and process third party claims adjudication
• Checks all orders for completeness of information
• Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization
• Must be able to support Phone calls
• Checks all orders for insurance approval
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions
• Calculates correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents

Job Requirements/Previous Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1+ YEARS of Healthcare and/or Pharmacy customer service experience
• Type 35+ wpm
• 1+ years of experience in a Data Intake role
• Lift 40 pounds in case support needed in fulfillment
• Exhibit sense of urgency and superb multi-tasking skills
