  • Responsibilities

    Under the direction of a pharmacist, processes new drug orders, fills medication drawers, maintains an adequate supply of drugs and supplies and prepares sterile products.

    Required Skills

    • Hospital pharmacy work experience, preferred.
    • Verbal and written communication skills.
    • Computer skills.

    Required Experience

    • Current California Pharmacy Technician registration.
    • LA City fire card within 6 months of employment.

  • Qualifications
    • Possess a proficient level of computer and verbal/written communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize.
    • Able to effectively read, write, and speak English fluently.
    • Perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately and independently.
    • Possess knowledge or experience in IV preparation, aseptic technique, and data entry.
    • Minimum typing skills of 40 words per minute (wpm).
    • Able-bodied to transport medications throughout all patient care areas as deemed necessary.
