Part Time Pharmacy Technician Job Posting

The Hampton City Schools Employee Pharmacy, powered by On-Site Rx, has an exciting opportunity for a dependable and caring pharmacy technician to work in Hampton, Virginia. The position is part time and will have scheduled hours up to 20 hours per week.

The pharmacy is open Monday - Thursday, 9am – 6pm, Friday 9am – 4pm and Saturday 9am – 1pm. The pharmacy closes each weekday for lunch, from 1 – 1:30pm. Our distinctive work environment comes with opportunity for career growth and development with hours that support a healthy work – life balance.

On-Site Rx pharmacies offer a unique and innovative setting. We provide closed door pharmacy services for self-insured employers which means we will only be servicing Hampton City Schools employees and their dependents. The setting is similar in feel and operation to an independent retail pharmacy, but no outside insurance coverage is accepted – meaning issues with insurance carriers are limited.

Successful candidates will have the following:

• Open availability to work any shift within the pharmacy's operating hours
• Excellent customer service skills
• Superior communication skills
• Dependable transportation
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work well within a pharmacy team serving a diverse patient population
• Previous retail pharmacy experience is preferred, though not required
• Pharmacy Technician certification is desired, though not required
• Must pass a background check and have a negative drug screen
