Phlebotomist Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (hours may vary) Position Type: Contract, 3 months with potential for permanent placement

About the Role AllPro Consulting is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in Houston. This role involves providing quality specimen collection and handling, ensuring efficient lab operations, and offering excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities

Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge and store samples as required.

Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously to patients.

Demonstrate venipuncture techniques using straight or butterfly needles.

Accurately match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and follow protocols for specimen storage and transport.

Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and maintain patient information.

Respond to inquiries and provide lab results as needed.

Qualifications

Phlebotomy Certification (as required by the state of employment).

6+ months of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

High School Diploma or GED.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

8-10 years of experience in a related role is preferred.
