Large governmental agency is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect venous blood samples.

WORK LOCATION: 163 Veterans Dr, White River Junction, VT 05001

PAY: $35-45k/yr (depending on experience) PLUS 12 paid holidays

CONTRACT DATES: ASAP - 3/11/30 (This is a five-year role, but you can step away if circumstances change)

HOURS: M-F, 7-4:30 (40 hrs/wk)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect venous blood samples using aseptic venipuncture techniques.
• Verify patient identity before specimen collection.
• Label and process specimens per lab protocols.
• Accession and distribute specimens to the appropriate lab sections.
• Ensure all requested tests are received and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies and inventory.
• Monitor and maintain lab equipment, including temperature controls.
• Dispose of lab waste and prepare specimens for shipment.
• Follow HIPAA and Privacy Act regulations for data protection.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen
• 3+ years of experience
• Pre-employment drug screening required
• Background/security investigation required
• Completion of online onboarding
• Seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccination required
