Job Description

North Shore Health has a Casual position open for a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist.
Duties include collecting and receiving laboratory specimens, clerical and computer tasks, and also general laboratory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Prior phlebotomy and customer service experience is preferred, however, we are willing to train a good-fit candidate. This is a professional position therefore applicants must be: responsible and reliable, compliant with confidentiality and safety requirements, able to work both independently and as a team, demonstrate integrity throughout all aspects of their job functions, and also meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)
EXPERIENCE : Prior experience working directly with people/customer service. (Six (6) months phlebotomy or other medical experience)
EDUCATION : High School Diploma or equivalent. (Graduated from a NAACLS accredited phlebotomy program)
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION : none (Phlebotomy Technician Certification (PBT) from ASCP or equivalent agency.)

Additional Information

Wage range is $19.48 to $26.29 per hour
