    Key Responsibilities:

    - Perform venipunctures and capillary blood collections following established protocols and procedures.
    - Prepare patients for blood draws by explaining the procedure, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort.
    - Ensure the accuracy of patient identification and labeling of blood samples.
    - Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining equipment.
    - Document patient information and collection details in electronic health records accurately.
    - Collaborate with nursing and laboratory staff to ensure timely and efficient sample processing.
    - Respond to patient inquiries and provide assistance as needed, fostering a supportive and caring atmosphere.
    - Participate in training and education for new staff and assist in the development of best practices.
    - Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in phlebotomy techniques.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a recognized phlebotomy training program is preferred.
    • Certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., from ASCP, NHA, or a similar organization) is strongly preferred.
    • Proven experience in phlebotomy (1-2 years preferred) in a clinical or hospital setting.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory safety protocols, and infection control practices.
    • Proficiency in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) and laboratory information systems (LIS).
    • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Physical ability to perform tasks, including standing for long periods, lifting, and handling medical supplies.
