    We recruit and place physicians, advanced-practice providers, allied health and nursing personnel, on short-term and long-term assignments nationwide.

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)  to join our dynamic team. The candidate will perform a wide range of diagnostic tests and analyses, contributing to patient care and ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in laboratory operations.

    Qualifications:

    • Phlebotomist Certification or MLT Certification
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS); MUST be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • MLT/Phlebotomist training certificate/diploma/degree
    • Ability to pass government background investigation to include criminal and professional history
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

    Medical Technicians (MLT, Phlebotomist) working in the blood draw lab will hold a current certification in Phlebotomy by ASCP or recognized Phlebotomy certification school. Good working knowledge of waived testing and phlebotomy procedure preferred.

    Hiring for Current Shifts:

    • Baltimore: M-F; 8a-430p  (3 openings)
    • Perry Point: M-F; 630a-3p (1 opening)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Appropriate dress, lab coat and/or scrubs at all times.
    • ID badge must be worn at all times while on station.
    • Maintains courteous customer service skills toward patients, visitors, and staff.
    • Evaluates the suitability of specimens for analysis, requesting a new specimen if necessary.
    • Calibrates, standardizes, adjusts and maintains instruments.
    • Verified correct instrument operation using established procedures and quality control checks and monitoring.
    • Evaluates the validity of data within the test system and accepted assay procedures.
    • Correlates test data with patient clinical history prior to verifying results.
    • Performs additional tests to clarify or confirm abnormal test results. Recognizes abnormal results that require immediate attention by the physician and reports them directly.
    • Responsible for entering and verifying laboratory results from the work area into the laboratory information system (VistA).
    • Remains on duty until relieved by the next shift of employees.
    • Report for duty on time or call your supervisor to report absence/tardiness no later than one hour before the beginning of the tour scheduled.
    • Performs phlebotomy procedures following a sequence of steps approved for sample collection and selecting best venipuncture site.
    • Independently determines the need and initiates a Medical Emergency, Code Blue until specialized assistance arrives scene.
    • Responsible for performing waived testing and pre-analytic processing in the accessioning area.
