    SUMMARY:

    The JLCCTC SME (SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT) reports up through the JLCCTC Engineering Management team and provides task-unique functional expertise needed to interpret system/customer requirements, that it performs successfully and ensures responsiveness. Additionally, this position will be assigned other projects or tasks in alignment with the level and scope of the position.

    _This is a contingent position based on funding from the customer. _

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide task unique functional expertise necessary to interpret requirements, ensure responsiveness and achieve successful performance.
    • Supervises Subject Matter Expert team’s efforts. (Level V role)
    • Provide expertise in subject matter and unique technical knowledge.
    • Assist engineering staff with the analysis, evaluation and implementation of systems and other engineering tasks.
    • Consult with executive management on subject matter on establishing and altering policies.
    • Client interface ensuring efforts and guidelines are meeting customer requirements.
    • Assess Program requirements, functional designs, plans and schedules, and provide recommendations.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline_._
    • Minimum of Five (5) to Nine (9) years of experience (dependent on level of role) supporting IT projects/programs, networking, integration and/or systems engineering.
    • Prior experience with the US Army Mission Command Training Program (MCTP), other Mission Command Training Complexes or JLCCTC fielding activities is a plus.
    • Experience providing high-level presentations and white papers for system engineering reviews, product development, analysis, and validation and verification of engineering solutions
    • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
    • Highly proficient interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
    • Holds a minimum DOD Secret security clearance.
    • Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
    • Domestic and International travel to Military Installations in support of JLCCTC Program activities is required.
