Position Summary:
Supervises a team of Photographer Guides with the responsibility of taking creative, unique photographs of all Skywalk guests. Ensures Photographers are engaging guests and acting as tour guides on the Skywalk while taking multiple photos. Ensures all camera and computer equipment is in good working condition and that Photographers have the supplies and equipment needed. Responsible for daily scheduling of employees to ensure coverage on the Skywalk. Ensures all employees are properly trained on and utilizing all equipment to its’ full potential. Ensures Photographers are creating unique photos. Ensures that the team is providing outstanding customer service at all times and acts as a Hualapai ambassador. Monitors flow of customers on Skywalk.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to communicate well and interact with guests and employees in a clear, concise manner.
Demonstrated ability to provide, train and promote outstanding customer service by team members.
Demonstrated experience in use of camera equipment and related software. Ability to train employees in photography techniques.
Ability to lead, coach, train, develop and motivate Photographer Guides.
Demonstrated ability to foster a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships. Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast paced environment. Ability to handle escalated customer issues.
Ability to coach and motivate teams.
Knowledge of the Skywalk, Grand Canyon West locations, operations, Hualapai history and culture.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct supervision of Photographer Guides.
Responsible for Photographers engaging guests, acting as tour guides on the Skywalk and taking creative, unique photographs. Photographers must also ensure customer flow is continuous on the Skywalk.
Ensure all camera equipment is in good working condition and all employees are trained on all appropriate equipment and software. Train employees on creative photography and on enhancement techniques using software.
Perform regular and timely Performance Evaluation discussions and documentation with members of team and promote team environment while providing individual growth opportunities for Direct Reports.
Assist guests with questions they have concerning the Skywalk, Grand Canyon West locations, operations, Hualapai history and culture. Provide and promote outstanding customer service using high service standards.
Responsible for daily work scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage on the Skywalk.
Maintain equipment and supply inventory.
Foster a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.
Ensure that all communications are shared with employees in a timely and accurate manner, as appropriate.
Keep the Operations Manager apprised of all issues and concerns.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Prior photography experience and customer service experience desired.
Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:
Position requires the ability to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time, regardless of weather conditions. Fast paced environment with high transaction volume. Requires lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays. Can not be afraid of heights.
