    This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a mission-focused team that is known for delivering advanced intelligence analytics and GEOINT products. By joining our team, you will work on impactful and compelling projects that advance scientific understanding of GEOINT related phenomenology and that rely on GEOINT to inform decisions in areas like defense, national security, and disaster response! We are looking for an Expert level Photogrammetrist to join our team in Springfield, VA. The right candidate will be someone that has a high level of proficiency in using photogrammetric techniques on a variety of imagery types. You will be part of a highly skilled team that is researching, developing, and recommending solutions for NextGen photogrammetric processing tools in support of National Defense. This role requires expertise in assessing, verifying, and validating sensors and geolocation systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in statistical analysis, applying photogrammetrically sound mathematical methods or utilizing R for evaluating both new and existing sensor technologies.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Research, develop, evaluate, and recommend NextGen photogrammetric processing tools for National Defense/Intelligence Community requirements
    • Research, develop, automate, and apply photogrammetric techniques to add value to formal intelligence reporting
    • Support verification and validation (V&V) efforts for tools, techniques, processes
    • Support R&D of solutions for mensuration of imagery captured by commercial drones or similar capabilities.
    • Document results, create written reports, and photogrammetric related briefings
    • Participate in Technical Exchange Meetings and other technical forums related to discipline
    • Build prototypes of photogrammetric sensor modeling solutions that can precisely measure, triangulate, and exploit imagery

     

    Required Qualifications:

     

    • Must have Intelligence Community Domain Experience
    • Must haves strong understanding of GEOINT and the TCPED cycle
    • TS/SCI clearance (with CI Poly)
    • For Expert Level: BS Degree in related field with 15 years of professional experience
      • Substitutions are allowed for different levels of education (i.e. high school diploma, AA, Masters, or PhD degree, certifications, etc.)
      • Substitutions are allowed for different types of experience (i.e. volunteer work / apprenticeship / intern positions / military experience, etc.).
      • We also take into consideration other relevant accomplishments (i.e. published work, scientific studies)
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the GEOINT Community

     

    Required Experience:

     

    • Prior experience with applying photogrammetric techniques to monoscopic, stereoscopic, and multiscopic modes
    • Ability to conducterror propagation calculation andanalysis
    • Advanced understanding of applied mathematical and statistical principles
    • Working knowledgeofphotogrammetry,trigonometry,statistics,geodesy,andoverheadimaging
    • Proficiency with tools commonly used for photogrammetry such as Electronic Light Table (ELT) software packages, SOCET GXP, RemoteView, MicroStation/AutoCAD, Compass, AGITK, etc.
    • Abilityto visualize objectsin3Dandviewimageryin stereo



    Desired:

     

    • 20 years of experience performing photogrammetric analysis and Computer Aided Design (CAD).
    • Understanding of design principles and their relationship to sensor performance in this phenomenology/discipline.
    • Proficiency in IDL, Java, C++ Visual Basic, or other coding language.
    • Experience and technical knowledge associated with the development and use of APls.
    • Advanced degree in a scientific discipline
    • A demonstrated ability to facilitate the transfer of learning using a student-centered approach. Proficiency in developing and delivering lesson material in a classroom environment.
    • Knowledge or experience with GIS software and methodological principles, especially ArcGIS.
    • NGA domain experience
