    Staff Photographer / Videographer / Graphic Designer will complete photographic and videographic assignments to produce quality photographs for use in The Whistling Kettle’s online and print communications, promotional materials, internal communications, or for other purposes.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Uses professional expertise and skill to capture professional, high-quality images and videos; assignments may include candid images, portraits, architectural structures, abstract compositions, etc.

    Selects and uses appropriate photographic and/or video equipment to record events and subjects.

    Enhances the appearance of subjects with natural or artificial light.

    Uses photo and video editing software and applications to edit, crop, and enhance photographs.

    For images that will accompany written content, coordinates with writers and/or editors to ensure photographs will present a unified message matching the purpose, tone, and audience of the publication.

    Ensures equipment is in proper working order and supplies are stocked.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Assist with operations in our tea bar when required

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    Thorough understanding of techniques, equipment, and processes related to photography and videography.

    Strong interpersonal skills.

    Visually creative.

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other related software

    Education and Experience:

    Degree or courses in graphic design/photography/videography a plus.

    Portfolio of prior work required.

    Physical Requirements:

    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

    May be required to kneel, squat, or stand for extended periods to capture images.
