Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide in-home rehabilitative care. The PTA assists in executing physical therapy treatment plans, helping patients enhance mobility, regain function, and manage pain within their home environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer physical therapy treatments as outlined by the Physical Therapist to improve patient movement, strength, and daily functioning.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, mobility techniques, and safety guidelines.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed in collaboration with the Physical Therapist.
- Communicate any notable changes in patient condition to the Physical Therapist and healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with company policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of Minnesota.
- Experience in a home health setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently in a home setting while managing a caseload.
