We are looking for a fulltime and PRN PTAs in Northcentral/Northeast San Antonio to provide coordinated physical therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist in the home as prescribed by the attending Provider.
Educational Requirements:
graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy
Licensing/Certification/Registration Requirements:
current PTA license issued by the State of Texas and current CPR

Physical Requirements:
able to see/hear/speak sufficiently to participate in written/verbal communication

able to use fine motor skills for patient assessment
able to stand, sit, bend, stoop, push, pull, and heavy lifting
able to operate a motor vehicle and travel to prospective patient’s residences
Responsibilities:
administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist
administer non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water and electrical modalities to patients
applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in performing patient care activities
promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third-party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary
must have a reliable means of transportation, proof of financial responsibility (car insurance and a valid state driver’s license)
