    Position Overview: As a Clinic-Based Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating children with a variety of motor impairments, developmental delays, and physical disabilities. You will work closely with pediatric patients and their families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and overall functional independence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Patient Assessment and Evaluation:

    Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' motor skills, range of motion, strength, posture, and overall functional abilities.

    Utilize standardized tests and clinical observations to identify areas of impairment and establish baseline measurements.

    Treatment Planning and Implementation:

    Develop comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.

    Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to improve motor function, including exercise programs, manual therapy, therapeutic activities, and assistive devices.

    Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and educators, to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.

    Family Education and Support:

    Educate patients and their families about the nature of their condition, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms at home.

    Provide ongoing support and guidance to families, empowering them to actively participate in their child's therapy and facilitate progress outside of clinic sessions.

    Progress Monitoring and Documentation:

    Regularly reassess patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.

    Professional Development:

    Stay current with advances in pediatric physical therapy research, techniques, and best practices through continuing education, professional conferences, and self-directed learning.

    Engage in reflective practice and seek opportunities for mentorship and peer collaboration to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

    State licensure as a Physical Therapist, with additional certification or specialization in Pediatric Physical Therapy preferred.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

    Proficiency in conducting pediatric assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions.

    Commitment to providing compassionate, family-centered care and advocating for the unique needs of pediatric patients.

    Working Conditions:

    The position is a combination of school and clinic-based work.

    Physical demands may include standing for extended periods, lifting and positioning pediatric patients, and performing therapeutic activities in various settings.
