Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients with physical disabilities or limitations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a genuine commitment to helping patients achieve their functional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and reassessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and goals.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient goals, and best practices.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to improve patients' strength, flexibility, endurance, and overall functional mobility.
- Educate and instruct patients and their families on exercises, treatment plans, and strategies to promote recovery and prevent future injuries.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to coordinate patient care.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in physical therapy techniques and practice standards through continual education and training.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement projects, and mentorship opportunities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state license to practice physical therapy.
- 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
